Graphics processor, used for training and running AI models, rendering, and parallel computing.
GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) has thousands of small processing cores running in parallel, so it is much faster than CPU for matrix operations — the foundation of machine learning and graphics rendering.
When reading the GPU rental price list, three parameters are decisive: chip line (H100, A100, L40S… each line differs by orders of magnitude in performance), VRAM capacity (determines which model size can be loaded), and number of GPUs per server.
Note on costs: GPU rental by the hour is economical for intermittent workloads, but if the workload runs continuously, fixed infrastructure is usually more economical from a certain usage threshold.
