Camera firmware embedded engineer

• Develop and maintain the firmware on the camera boards: capture, encoding and streaming.
• Tune latency, image quality and resource use on constrained hardware.
• Build a safe remote firmware update mechanism that can roll back when a release misbehaves.
• Integrate on-device recognition models and manage the resources they share with the video pipeline.
• Work with the hardware team to bring software up on new boards and verify the peripherals.
• Debug at low level with system logs, JTAG and memory analysis tools.
• Write automated firmware tests and take part in the continuous integration process.

• At least 3 years of embedded programming in C or C++ on embedded Linux.
• Experience with video pipelines: V4L2, GStreamer or an equivalent library.
• Understands H.264 and H.265 compression and the parameters that trade quality against bandwidth.
• Solid grasp of memory management, multithreading and synchronization on constrained devices.
• Experience building remote update mechanisms for devices already in the field.
• Able to read schematics and processor datasheets.

• Income from 25 – 50 million VND/month, negotiable based on your ability and interview results.

Monday – Friday: 08:30 – 17:30, lunch break 12:00 – 13:30, working at the office.
Saturday: 08:30 – 12:00, working from home — no need to come into the office.

Work-from-home policy: up to 10 work-from-home days in every 30 days (Saturdays included), registered in advance with your direct manager.
No unplanned overtime. Roles on system duty follow a separate shift schedule, with a shift allowance and compensating days off.

You choose one of the three domestic offices when you apply: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or Da Nang.
