Cloud infrastructure dedicated to one Organization, without sharing resources with other Customers.
Private Cloud is a cloud model in which all computing, storage and network resources serve a single organization. It can be located at the provider's data center or on the customer's premises.
The difference between private cloud and public cloud does not lie in the technology but in the sharing boundary: the same virtualization platform, but resources are not shared with any other organization. This is why Private Cloud is often selected when there are compliance requirements for data isolation, or when the load is large and stable enough that the prepaid capacity model is cheaper than pay-per-use.
Trade-off: higher fixed cost and lower real-time elasticity than public cloud.
