Only one person knows how to release
The process lives in one engineer's head. When they take leave, releases stop.
HiTechCloud builds CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and monitoring so your team can deploy several times a day — and roll back in minutes. Our DevOps capability is recognized by AWS through the DevOps Competency.
In most businesses we meet, releasing still involves at least one manual step: copying a file to the server, running a database update, editing a line of configuration. Those steps are why releases wait until night, and why nobody touches the system on a Friday.
Our job is to turn each of those manual steps into code: infrastructure rebuildable from the repository, releases run automatically through a pipeline, and every change leaving a record of who, when and what.
Results have to be measurable. We track the four familiar metrics — deployment frequency, lead time from commit to production, change failure rate and time to restore — and compare before and after rather than relying on impressions.
The process lives in one engineer's head. When they take leave, releases stop.
Code that works in test but fails in production, because the two environments were built by hand at different times.
When a release goes wrong, recovery is manual and sometimes means restoring from backup.
With no central logs or metrics, every incident starts with logging into servers one by one.
Automated from commit to production: build, test, security scan, approval and environment-by-environment deployment.
Describing the whole infrastructure in Terraform or equivalent, so a new environment can be rebuilt from the repository quickly.
Packaging with Docker and deploying on Kubernetes or a managed container service, with resource policies and autoscaling.
Collecting metrics, logs and traces in one place, with dashboards and alerts set at thresholds that mean something to the business.
Dependency and container image scanning, centralized secrets, role-based access and full deployment audit logs.
Training and mentoring your engineers so they can run the platform after the project ends.
We do not build the platform for everything at once. One service is chosen as the model, run end to end through the new process, and only then applied to the rest.
Reviewing the release process, environments and tooling, and measuring today's metrics as a baseline.
Choosing tools that fit the team and existing infrastructure, and designing environments, permissions and approval flows.
Building the pipeline and infrastructure as code for one service, running it for real and tuning until stable.
Applying the template to the remaining services, adding monitoring and documentation for each.
Training the in-house team, handing over operating documentation and agreeing post-project support.
The whole process does not change at once. Each automated step runs alongside the old way until the team trusts it.
The toolchain is chosen around your existing infrastructure and skills — we do not impose a fixed stack.
Not necessarily. For a small team, an automated pipeline and infrastructure as code are usually enough — Kubernetes can wait. We propose a level that matches your real scale rather than the full stack.
No. Kubernetes only earns its keep when you have enough services and enough elasticity to justify it. Many systems run better on VMs and managed containers, at far lower operating cost.
Both. Some clients want us to build the platform and train their team to take over; others hand us operations under a long-term service contract.
No. The pipeline and infrastructure as code are built alongside in a separate environment, and only adopted once stable and accepted.
